Zebra hardware scanner configuration
User profiles for configuration
If the Android device uses multiple user profiles, the configuration steps in this guide must be performed using the same profile where the target application is installed.
A separate DataWedge profile must be configured for each fulfillmenttools application, such as the Operations App and the Inventory App.
Activate the hardware scanner
Zebra devices with a built-in hardware scanner are managed by an application named DataWedge. This application connects the scanner to the fulfillmenttools apps.
Open
DataWedgefrom the app drawer.
Tap the options menu (three dots) in the top-right corner.

Select New Profile.

Enter a profile name. For example, use
OperationsAppfor the Operations App orInventoryAppfor the Inventory App.
Tap Associated apps.

Tap the options menu (three dots) in the top-right corner and select New app/activity.

Select the appropriate package. For the Operations App, select
com.ocfulfillment.fulfillmentapp. For the Inventory App, selectcom.ocfulfillment.inventoryapp.
From the list of activities, select
*.
Scroll down to the Intent output section.

Select the Enabled checkbox.
For Intent action, enter
com.ocfulfillment.fulfillmentapp.ACTIONfor the Operations App orcom.ocfulfillment.inventoryapp.ACTIONfor the Inventory App.For Intent delivery, select
Broadcast intent.
