Using the apps during your free trial

What are the fulfillmenttools apps?

We have 3 apps that can be used to complete store operations:

  • Operations app

  • Inventory app

  • Returns app

They're all available for both mobile devices and as a web app. For this tutorial, we'll be using the Operations app on an Android device.

Why does it matter for my free trial?

Seeing how our apps work will give you an idea of how your team can work together with our solution. It will also show you how our order we created can be picked and packed, then handed over to our consumer.

Accessing the Operations app

1

Open Backoffice and log in

Click the link to Backoffice you were provided in your free trial email. It will follow the https://ocff-{tenant-name}-dmo.web.app structure.

2

Download the app

In the Network view of Backoffice, click Settings in the left-hand navigation. Then, in the fulfillmenttools app section, click the Android Operations App button. This opens a modal with a QR code you can scan with your Android device to download the app.

3

Connect the app to Backoffice

Once the Operations app is open on your Android device, scan the QR code in Backoffice in the Connect apps section. This will log you into the app and you're now ready to get picking.

Picking, packing, and handover

Now we've received an order from a consumer, we need to prepare the items from our shop so they're ready for when the consumer arrives.

Picking

Picking is the act of collecting the items for an order. We can use the Operations app to guide us through the process.

1

Select the task

In the Operations app, you'll see the order we created earlier in the task list. Tap on the task to open it.

2

Pick the first item

Tap on the first item in the list, then use the + icon to add to increase the amount to 1, then tap Close. You'll be taken back to the item list.

In the future, you can enable scanning to easily add items.

3

Pick the second item

Tap on the first item in the list, then use the + icon to add to increase the amount to 1, then tap Close. You'll be taken back to the item list.

4

Complete the picking process

Tap the tick icon at the bottom of the screen, then slide the Complete slider to the right to complete the picking process.

Now our items have been picked for our consumer's order, we need to pack the items so they're ready for when the consumer arrives.

Packing

Packing is the act of putting the items for an order into a container. We can use the Operations app to guide us through the process.

1

Access the packing section

Tap the Proceed to packing button to start the packing process.

If you tap, Picking finished, you'll be taken back to the task list where you can start the packing later.

2

Select the packed items

Tap the items in the list to activate the check boxes, then tap Complete. This completes the packing process.

Now our items have been packed for our consumer's order, we need to let the system know when the consumer has picked up their items.

Handover

Handover is the act of giving the items for an order over to either a carrier, or in this case, directly to the consumer. We can use the Operations app to guide us through the process.

1

Access the handover section

Tap Handover at the bottom of the screen to start the handover process.

2

Select the order to handover

Tap the order to open the order summary.

3

Complete the handover process

Slide the Handed over slider to the right to complete the handover process.

That completes our free trial basic tutorial. You can go further in depth into these topics and find our more about our further capabilities in the following sections.
