# Inventory

The inventory view is the list of all articles that are listed in the respective facility.

{% hint style="info" %}
This article focuses on using Backoffice. For information on APIs and customizations, see the [global-inventory-hub](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub "mention") section.
{% endhint %}

The view shows all information such as title, price, or attributes that was configured in the listing. The **Stock** column shows the total value of stock that is currently present for that item in the facility. This value is described as [stock on hand](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/backoffice/facility-view/broken-reference). The **Reserved** column shows the quantity that is [reserved](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/backoffice/facility-view/broken-reference) for accepted customer orders.

#### Header

The header displays the listing title and the tenant article ID. Below, availability values give insights on the [stock availability](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/stock/stock-availability) of the listing.

#### Article details

The article details container shows the listing's `tenantArticleId`, title, all entries stored in the [listing attributes](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/articles/article-attributes), [tags](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/getting-started/tags), image, as well as the [shop price](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/getting-started/facilities/prices#shop-price), [out of stock behavior and configuration](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/listing#out-of-stock-behaviour), and [measurement unit key](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/listing#measurement-units) of the listing.

#### Stock information

The stock information module provides further details on the amount of items, reservations, [stock properties](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/stock#stock-properties), and the [traits](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/inventory-traits) of the stock. The stock value can be edited via the three-dot menu and new stock can be added.

{% hint style="info" %}
Users can configure whether manual stock level changes are permitted in the [settings](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/backoffice/network-view/settings) of the Network View.
{% endhint %}

#### Storage locations

The [storage locations](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/backoffice/facility-view/inventory/storage-locations) module shows all storage locations where the respective article is located in the facility. It provides further details on the stored amount of items, reservations, [stock properties](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/stock#stock-properties), and the [traits](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/inventory-traits) of the location. The stock on each location can be edited via the three-dot menu. Storage locations can be edited on the [Storage Location view](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/backoffice/facility-view/inventory/storage-locations).

#### Sales prices

The sales price is the amount at which articles are sold to other facilities in the network and is always stored by the facility selling the articles. The module allows users to create and delete sales prices.

{% hint style="info" %}
More information can be found under [Prices](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/getting-started/facilities/prices).
{% endhint %}

#### Purchase prices

The purchase price refers to the price at which articles are acquired from other facilities within the network. It is not specifically stored in the platform but is contingent upon the facility from which an article is sourced. The purchase price will only be displayed if there exists a [facility connection](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/advanced-order-routing/complex-routing-with-combinatorics/network-model/facility-connection) between the selling and the purchasing facility. [Discounts](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/getting-started/facilities/facility-discounts) can be applied to the purchase price of an article and are defined by the selling facility.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
More information can be found under [Prices](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/getting-started/facilities/prices).
{% endhint %}

#### Custom attributes

The custom attributes module displays all custom attributes configured for the respective listing. Custom attributes can be edited via the three-dot menu in the module header.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
More information can be found under [Custom attributes](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/getting-started/custom-attributes).
{% endhint %}

#### Future availabilities

The future availabilities graph shows the development of stock that will be [available for picking](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/stock/stock-availability) in the future. The table on the right provides more details about the events that triggered the respective change in stock levels. Stock levels can change due to:

* **Delivery of goods**: A [purchase order](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/inbound-process#purchase-order) was created, which indicates that stock is expected to be delivered for the respective article.
* **Stock expires**: Stock has exceeded its [`availableUntil` date](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/listing#availability-timeframe).

If there are no deliveries of goods announced and no stock is set to expire in the future, no data will be displayed in the module.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The graph doesn't estimate future sales or other stock movements that the system is not yet aware of.
{% endhint %}

#### Customization <a href="#customization" id="customization"></a>

* Table columns can be rearranged or made sticky on either side. The action is available via the three-dot menu in each column header.
* Table columns can be shown or hidden using the edit button located at the right end of the table. The reset button restores the visibility of all columns and reverts the table to its original sorting order.
* To rearrange or hide specific modules on the detail page, click the **Customize** button located at the top of the detail page.&#x20;
* A reset re-displays all columns and containers, clears any sticky settings, and resets the sorting.

Expected stock is stock which is expected to arrive or to be produced in the facility. Expected stock is visible in the [stock overview](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/backoffice/facility-view/broken-reference) in the Backoffice. Once a purchase order is created, its expected stock can be considered in the [availability calculation](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/availability-and-promising).

The **Reserved** column shows the number of [reservations](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/reservations) accepted for the item in the facility. This means reservations for all orders that were assigned to the facility for fulfillment are shown, including reservations on [expected stock](https://docs.fulfillmenttools.com/documentation/by-pillar/global-inventory-hub/stock/expected-stock-in-availability) that has not yet arrived in the facility.

</details>

<summary>What is safety stock and how is it edited?</summary>

Safety stock works as a buffer, ensuring that online sales do not cannibalize offline sales. If the safety stock is reached within a facility, the facility is no longer considered for routing, so no more online orders are accepted for fulfillment from it.

Safety stock is configured on the facility level for each listing. The value can be edited by clicking the pencil icon in the safety stock card.
